The Shield Arms Premium Mag Catch is built from steel to handle the durability demands of high-capacity magazine use. Designed specifically for right-hand operation, it's optimized for Shield Arms S15 steel magazines and not compatible with standard OEM plastic Glock magazines.
Since this catch is hand-specific rather than ambidextrous, Shield Arms could refine the geometry without compromise. The bottom edges are beveled to eliminate hard angles that typically slow down magazine insertion. The catch face extends about 0.03 inches compared to the standard version, creating more positive contact with the magazine during seating and release. This extra engagement means magazines seat more reliably and drop free more consistently.
The steel construction is the real difference here. Shield Arms S15 magazines are steel bodied, and running them repeatedly against a factory polymer catch leads to wear. The premium steel catch won't deteriorate over time and won't wear down the magazines either. You get consistent performance whether you're at the range or using the gun for carry.
