The 22 Creedmoor has become a favorite among predator hunters and long-range varmint guys for good reason. It pushes heavy .22 caliber bullets fast and flat with barely any recoil, and the Element M3's 1:8 twist barrel is set up to stabilize the high-BC 75 to 88 grain bullets that make this cartridge shine. Seekins took their aluminum and steel hybrid action, the one that turned heads when the original Element launched, and pushed it further. The M3 gets a patent-pending quick-change barrel collar, a three-lug bolt with a fast 60 degree throw, and a toolless removable bolt. That short throw means more scope clearance and quicker follow-up shots, and the barrel collar opens the door to swapping calibers down the road without a trip to a gunsmith. There is also an integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail with a built-in bubble level, a smart touch for anyone stretching this cartridge to its legs.
The 20 inch barrel is carbon fiber wrapped 416R stainless, threaded 5/8×24 and wearing Seekins' Hunter muzzle brake, which keeps an already soft-recoiling cartridge glued to the target. The PH3 carbon composite stock in Mountain Shadow gives you an adjustable cheek riser to get your eye behind bigger optics, plus a full-length M-LOK forend for bipods, ARCA adapters, or whatever else your setup calls for. A TriggerTech trigger, user adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds, rounds it out. Seekins backs the whole rifle with their no-questions lifetime warranty, and it shows in how this thing is put together. The 1:8 twist is the standard for 22 Creedmoor and stabilizes the heavy-for-caliber bullets this cartridge was built around, generally the 75 to 88 grain range. That includes popular loads like Hornady's 80 grain ELD-X and similar high-BC options. Lighter varmint bullets shoot fine too, but the heavies are where this chambering earns its long-range reputation.
Yes, that is one of the biggest draws of the M3 platform. Seekins' patent-pending quick-change barrel collar lets you change barrels or calibers without sending the rifle off to a gunsmith. Seekins also publishes open-source headspace and tenon specs, so aftermarket barrel options are on the table as well.
It is about as good as it gets for that job. The 22 Creedmoor is flat shooting with very light recoil, so you can watch your hits through the scope, and the lightweight carbon fiber build makes it easy to carry between stands all day. The 20 MOA rail and adjustable comb also set it up nicely for the longer pokes you run into in open country.
It comes with a TriggerTech trigger that is user adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds. That gives you a crisp, clean break out of the box with room to tune it to your preference, whether you want a light precision pull or a bit more weight for cold-weather hunting with gloves.
