This Komodo Anime version takes that foundation and builds something genuinely different on top of it. Shark Coast Tactical designed the Komodo grip module from scratch using 7075 aluminum, which gives it a more rigid and durable feel compared to a standard polymer frame. The laser-engraved stippling isn't just decorative — it gives you a more confident purchase on the gun, especially with a little sweat on your hands. The hand-drawn anime artwork is integrated into the Cerakote finish, meaning it's not a sticker or a wrap — it's part of the gun.
The Zaffiri Precision threadless compensated barrel is one of the standout pieces of this build. Unlike a traditional setup where you'd run a threaded barrel with a separate can, this design uses a ball-socket locking system that keeps the compensator attached without threading. That matters for a carry gun because it keeps the overall profile clean. The compensator redirects gasses upward and adds a bit of front-end weight, both of which work together to reduce muzzle flip. In ransom rest testing, this design has shown somewhere in the neighborhood of a 33-35% reduction in muzzle rise — which is real, noticeable, and makes faster follow-up shots easier on a compact gun that can otherwise feel a bit snappy.
The custom-cut slide is optic-ready, so if you want to run a micro red dot, the mounting footprint is already there — no machining required. Night sights come standard in the rear dovetail, so you're covered for low-light situations whether or not you ever mount an optic. The double-stack 17-round magazines give you a carry capacity that was basically unthinkable in a gun this size not that long ago. Two of them come in the box.

The fire control unit, trigger, and internal components are based on the P365X platform, so it runs on the same proven Sig Sauer internals the P365X is known for. The main differences are the external build — the Komodo aluminum grip module, the Zaffiri compensated barrel, the custom optic-cut slide, and the anime Cerakote finish are all upgrades built on top of the factory foundation.

The Komodo aluminum grip module and the compensated barrel change the external dimensions compared to a stock P365X, so a holster designed for the standard model may not fit correctly.
