The High Temp Suppressor Cover is rated up to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit, which puts it in a different league than basic mirage covers that start smoking after a couple magazines.
The heat-resistant nylon construction does more than protect your hands and gear bag. Cutting down mirage matters most when you are shooting with magnified optics, where shimmer off a hot can will blur your reticle and cost you hits at distance. This cover also keeps a scorching suppressor from melting slings, pack straps, and anything else it brushes against on the way back to the truck. The gray finish is a nice change of pace too, blending well with tan, black, or camo setups without looking out of place.
Since SilencerCo designed this cover around their own lineup, sizing is straightforward. The 6 inch version fits the Harvester EVO, Octane 9, Octane 45K, Saker 556, Omega 300, the Hybrid 46M in its short configuration, and the Omega 36M in its long configuration. If you are running one of those cans, this is the cover SilencerCo intends for it. Owners of longer suppressors like the Saker 762 or Hybrid 46 should look at the 7.5 inch version instead.

Yes, that is the whole point of the High Temp line. With a 1600 degree Fahrenheit rating, this cover is built to handle sustained strings of fire that would cook a standard mirage-only cover. That said, no cover is invincible, so let your can breathe between extended full-auto style sessions to get the longest life out of it.
It makes a noticeable difference, especially behind magnified glass. Heat shimmer rising off a bare suppressor sits right in your line of sight and distorts the target image. A cover traps and redirects that heat so your sight picture stays clean through longer shooting sessions.
It can, as long as the length and diameter are close to the SilencerCo models it was designed around. Most 1.5 inch diameter cans in the 6 inch range will fit reasonably well. For a guaranteed fit though, it is designed specifically for the SilencerCo suppressors in the fit guide.
