The Rifle Basix SAV-2 is the go-to upgrade when your Savage's factory trigger is holding back your groups. It replaces the standard trigger or the AccuTrigger as a true drop-in unit, meaning you're not sending your rifle off to a gunsmith to get a real trigger. The pull weight adjusts from a feather-light 4 ounces all the way up to 3 pounds, and it comes with two springs so you can run it heavy for the field or bring it down to match-grade territory for the bench. On top of pull weight, you also get adjustable take-up and over-travel, so once you dial it in you get that clean, creep-free break folks keep talking about.
This is Rifle Basix's universal Savage trigger, and it covers a lot of ground. It works with all 110 type centerfire actions built after January 1966, including derivatives like the 10, 11, 12, 16, 111, 112, 114 and 116, plus the Savage/Stevens Model 200 and the Savage 210 slug gun. It handles long and short actions, early and late guns, and both left and right hand setups. One thing to keep in mind: the SAV-2 will not work on rifles with the AccuStock or a bottom bolt-release near the trigger guard, and it isn't set up for the Axis/Edge. If that's your rifle, the SAV-1 is the one you want instead.

Rifle Basix provides both a PDF guide and separate installation videos for standard and AccuTrigger replacements, since the two go in a little differently. Yes. The SAV-2 is a drop-in replacement for both the standard Savage trigger and the AccuTrigger on 110 type actions. Just note there's a slightly different install process for each, so follow the correct video or guide for your setup. Newer AccuTrigger installs use the factory 90 degree spring rather than the included sear spring.
No, the SAV-2 will not work on Axis/Edge rifles, guns with the AccuStock, or any rifle with a bottom bolt-release near the trigger guard. For those applications, Rifle Basix makes the SAV-1, which is designed to cover the Axis/Edge and newer style actions. If you're unsure which one your rifle needs, check the action type before ordering.
