Both the upper and lower are machined from a single solid block of 7075-T6 certified aerospace aluminum using Haas CNC equipment, then hand ground as matched sets for optimal fit and long-term accuracy. The bore, receiver extension face, barrel nut threads, and barrel extension surfaces are all cut in one operation to ensure everything is perfectly concentric. The result is a receiver set that fits and feels like nothing off a standard production line. Finished in MIL-A-8625 Type III hard anodize in Olive Drab Green, it looks sharp and holds up to real use.
The 7.5-inch barrel is machined from 41V50 vanadium steel with a 1:7 twist rate and threaded 1/2-28, with dimpling for gas block alignment and retention. Paired with that is STT's enhanced bolt carrier group in 9310 case hardened steel, MPI and HPT tested to 70,000 psi, finished in black nitride with a staked gas key. Three gas ports on the BCG help manage excess gas if you run a suppressor down the road.
