Slings are only as good as the point they hang from, and this little kit from Samson gives your Evolution KeyMod handguard a clean, purpose-built QD anchor. Instead of eating up rail space with a heavier accessory rail and separate swivel mount, this piece attaches straight to the KeyMod slots on your handguard, keeping the whole setup slim and out of the way when you're shouldering the rifle or slinging it across your back.
The design uses a limited-rotation QD socket, which is a bigger deal than it sounds. It lets the sling swivel pivot just enough to keep your sling from binding as you move the rifle around, but stops short of full rotation so your sling won't wrap up and twist on itself. It accepts all standard QD-style push-button sling loops, so whatever two-point or single-point sling you're already running will drop right in. At 0.7 ounces, it adds basically nothing to the rifle's overall weight.
Samson machines this out of 6061-T6 aluminum and finishes it with a mil-spec Type III hard coat anodize, the same treatment you'll find on quality handguards and receivers. That finish shrugs off wear, resists corrosion, and holds up to the heat and abuse that come with real range time. The kit mounts using a backer plate and two screws, so installation is a quick job with basic tools, and once it's torqued down it stays put.
