One of the best things about running a modular Rugged can is being able to change its length to fit the job, and having a second front cap makes that swap a whole lot quicker. The FC003 is the standard 7.62 front cap from Rugged Suppressors, and it fits right in with the Surge762, Razor762, Radiant762, Micro30, Alaskan360, and Alaskan360Ti. Keep one threaded on each module and you can go from full-length to short config at the range without fiddling around, or just stash this one in your range bag as a backup in case the original ever grows legs.
If you own a Surge or another ADAPT-equipped Rugged suppressor, you already know the drill: pull the front module, move the cap over, reassemble. It works fine, but it eats time when you would rather be behind the rifle. A second cap means each section stays ready to run, which is handy if you switch between a compact truck gun setup and a longer precision configuration on the regular. It is also just smart insurance. End caps take the brunt of carbon, heat, and the occasional drop on concrete, so having a fresh one around is never a bad idea.
This is genuine Rugged factory hardware, machined to the same standards as the suppressors it screws onto. The steel construction shrugs off hard use, and the matte black finish blends right in with Rugged's Cerakoted cans. The 7.62 bore aperture works with .30 caliber rifle cartridges and smaller, so it covers everything your Rugged rifle can is rated to handle in that range. At right around an ounce, it disappears into a pocket or pouch until you need it.

Yes. The 7.62 bore aperture handles .30 caliber projectiles and anything smaller that your suppressor is rated for, such as 6.5 Creedmoor or 5.56. You will get slightly less sound reduction with smaller calibers than you would with a dedicated 5.56 cap, but it works safely and keeps one cap covering all your rifles.
The FC003 is the steel version of Rugged's 7.62 flat front cap, finished in matte black. If you want to shave weight, Rugged also makes a titanium version under part number FC005. For most folks, the steel cap is plenty durable and the weight difference on a rifle can is minimal.
