The LCP Max took everything people liked about the original LCP and fixed the stuff they didn't. Same pocketable footprint as the LCP II, but now you get 10+1 rounds of .380 ACP thanks to a stagger-stack magazine, real dovetailed sights instead of tiny bumps on the slide, and a much better trigger. At 10.6 ounces and just over 5 inches long, it disappears in a pocket in a way that even the smallest micro nines can't quite match. This version, model 13760, adds a manual thumb safety on the left side of the frame for anyone who wants that extra layer on a pocket gun.
The front sight is a tritium dot with a white outline, so it shows up in daylight and keeps glowing after dark. The rear is a generous U-notch that's drift adjustable, with a squared front face you can use to rack the slide one-handed if you ever need to. The dovetails are cut to the Bodyguard pattern too, so aftermarket sight options are easy to find if you want something different down the road.

This is model 13760, which adds a manual thumb safety lever on the left side of the frame. Everything else carries over from the standard LCP Max, including the 10+1 capacity, tritium front sight, and Secure Action trigger. The safety sits low and out of the way, and with a little practice it clicks off naturally during the draw.
Yes, Ruger includes a soft pocket holster right in the box, along with a magazine loader that makes topping off the stagger-stack magazine a lot easier on the thumbs. That means you're set up to carry the day you bring it home, though plenty of owners eventually upgrade to a dedicated kydex or IWB rig.
You can. The pistol ships with one 10-round magazine, and Ruger sells extended 12-round magazines separately through their web store. The included finger grip extension floorplate for the 10-rounder also gives most hands a full three-finger grip without adding much length.
