The CAR A4 carries that same DNA in a straightforward, no-nonsense carbine. You get forged aluminum receivers, a 16-inch chrome moly barrel with a 1:9 twist, and a carbine-length gas system that runs smoothly with both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington loads.

What Sets the CAR A4 Apart

The big one is the trigger. Most rifles in this class ship with a gritty single-stage mil-spec unit, but RRA installs their two-stage trigger from the factory. It gives you a light, predictable take-up followed by a clean break, and it makes a real difference when you're working on tight groups or teaching a new shooter good fundamentals. Up front, the barrel wears an A2 flash hider on standard 1/2×28 threads, and the low-profile gas block includes a receiver-height sight rail, so you can add a folding front sight that co-witnesses with a rear unit on the flat top upper.
