The Rost Martin RM1C has made a serious impression since its debut at SHOT Show 2024, and it's not hard to see why. Rost Martin, a veteran-owned company out of Dallas, Texas, came out of the gate with a compact 9mm loaded with features that typically live behind a much higher price tag. The OD Green variant gives the pistol a sharp look with the olive drab polymer frame contrasting against the rugged black Tenifer-treated slide. That Tenifer finish isn't just for aesthetics either — it's a proven anti-corrosion treatment that holds up against wear, weather, and the kind of round counts that would rattle lesser finishes.
The 4-inch hammer-forged, crowned barrel pairs with a genuinely low bore axis to keep muzzle rise in check and put rounds on target consistently. The flat-face trigger breaks cleanly at around five pounds with a short reset that you'll feel immediately on the first range session. Slide serrations run front, rear, and across the top — the top cuts specifically designed to knock down glare and help you reacquire your sights faster. The frame brings modular backstraps, a funneled mag well, an undercut trigger guard, extended beavertail, and textured index points on both sides to help you drive the gun through follow-up shots. The RFX11 uses a Shield RMSc footprint, and the RM1C ships with a metal RMR plate already installed — so mounting an optic is straightforward and the slide can accommodate other popular footprints as additional adapter plates become available through Rost Martin. The bundle also includes four 10-round magazines and a Savior Equipment Specialist bag, which is a genuinely useful range bag built from 600D polyester with lockable zippers, pistol sleeves, and a well-organized interior. The RM1C's full three-slot Picatinny rail up front means you can add a pistol light whenever you're ready, and holster support from several major manufacturers has been available since launch. The RM1C ships with a metal RMR plate pre-installed, which opens it up to Trijicon RMR, SRO, and RCR optics, plus Holosun options like the 407C, 507C, 508T, and 509T. Rost Martin also offers additional adapter plates on their website for other popular footprints including Docter and Leupold DPP patterns. The Viridian RFX11 included in this bundle uses a Shield RMSc footprint and will require the appropriate adapter plate to mount on the RMR-cut slide.
The RM1C sits in the same size class as a Glock 19 with a 7.1-inch overall length and a slim 1.1-inch grip width, which makes it a solid candidate for carry. The low bore axis and RGT grip texture help manage recoil well, and the optic-ready slide means you can run a red or green dot without adding much bulk. Holster support from manufacturers like ANR Design, Blackpoint Tactical, CrossBreed, and DeSantis was available at launch, so finding a quality holster is not a problem.
This particular bundle ships with four 10-round magazines, but the RM1C platform is also offered with 15- and 17-round magazines in other configurations. The pistol is also compatible with CZ P10 magazines, giving you a widely available aftermarket option if you want to run higher capacity. Rost Martin's own branded magazines are made by Mec-Gar, which is a quality steel magazine manufacturer used by many major firearms brands.
RGT is Rost Martin's proprietary graduated laser stippling that covers the front, back, and sides of the grip as well as two textured index points above the trigger guard. The idea behind it is that the texture responds proportionally to grip pressure — firmer grip, more bite — which means it's secure under stress without being uncomfortable during extended range sessions.
