Description
Rosco created the Sauce Pack line after their customers asked for a simpler way to get matched components that work together out of the box. Instead of hunting down compatible barrel, bolt carrier group, gas block, and gas tube separately, this bundle gives you everything you need for a complete upper ignition system that performs as one cohesive unit.
The 10.5" Bloodline barrel is manufactured entirely in-house from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel, cut to a balanced government profile with proper gas port sizing for the carbine-length system. Rosco engineers don't just order blanks from someone else and call it a day. They control every step, from the initial steel blank through final machining, which means they can tune dwell times, twist rates, and materials for exactly what this length and configuration needs. A 1:7 twist rate gives you the flexibility to shoot heavier precision-oriented ammunition while remaining functional with standard 55-grain loads. The barrel extension and all steel surfaces receive a salt bath nitride (Melonite) finish that provides superior corrosion resistance and low-friction properties that make cleaning easier than comparable finishes.
What's in the Bloodline Sauce Pack
You get the barrel paired with a matched Bloodline bolt carrier group, non-adjustable Bloodline gas block, and Bloodline gas tube. The gas block and tube are sized specifically for carbine-length operation on a 10.5" platform. All components feature the same durable Melonite finish. The gas tube's expertly bored port and flared end deliver consistent gas flow, and Rosco engineered these parts to work in harmony so you avoid the mismatches that sometimes happen when mixing parts from different manufacturers.
Built for Compact Builds
This 10.5" length has become the modern standard for AR pistols and short-barreled rifle builds. It strikes a genuine balance between compact handling and functional ballistics for 5.56 NATO. The government profile provides rigidity without excess weight. Carbine-length gas provides good reliability in both suppressed and unsuppressed configurations when paired with a barrel properly tuned like the Bloodline. Real world feedback from builders and shooters shows this is an excellent foundation for builds intended to run regularly or tackle demanding use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the Bloodline Sauce Pack unsuppressed, or is it only tuned for suppressors?
The 10.5" carbine-length system is engineered to run reliably both suppressed and unsuppressed. Rosco specifically tuned the dwell time and gas port diameter so it cycles properly with standard ammunition in either configuration. Many builders run these all day at the range without any suppressor at all.
Does this Bloodline package come with everything I need to assemble an upper?
The Sauce Pack gives you the critical ignition components: barrel, BCG, gas block, and gas tube. You'll still need an upper receiver, handguard, charging handle, and any other furniture or accessories for your specific build. It's designed to handle the hardest part of getting these core pieces to work together.
Why does the Bloodline use a non-adjustable gas block instead of adjustable?
The non-adjustable block is matched to the barrel's precise gas port sizing, so it delivers the right amount of gas for reliable cycling without fine-tuning. This keeps things simple and removes a potential point of failure or adjustment error. If you need adjustability later, you can always swap it out for an aftermarket block.
What's the difference between the Melonite finish and standard nitriding?
Melonite is a salt bath nitride process that provides superior corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and surface hardness compared to standard nitriding. It also reduces friction, which makes cleaning easier and contributes to long-term durability. Rosco applies it to all Bloodline components for consistency and hard-use reliability.
