There's a reason the original BR110 picked up Upland Shotgun of the Year honors from Field & Stream and Over/Under Gun of the Year from Quail Forever after it launched in 2017. Rizzini took the same mechanical guts found in their much pricier over/unders and put them in a clean, no-nonsense field gun. The BR110 Limited keeps every bit of that DNA and adds the finish work the standard model left off: tasteful scroll engraving along the receiver sides and a colored pheasant game scene on the bottom. It's the kind of detail that looks right at a nice sporting clays club without drifting into gaudy territory.
Mechanically, this is classic Italian gunmaking. A proven box lock design, automatic ejectors that kick spent hulls clear, and a single selective trigger so you can pick your barrel on the fly. The 28 inch nickel chrome steel barrels wear a vented rib with a metal front bead, and the steel receiver carries a black Cerakote finish that shrugs off weather and field wear far better than traditional bluing. At around 7.5 pounds in 12 gauge, it has enough weight to smooth out your swing on crossers and soak up recoil through a long day of clays, while still carrying comfortably through upland cover.
The 2.5 grade Turkish walnut stock is a real step up in figure, finished with a pistol grip and rounded forend, both cut with crisp 26 lines-per-inch checkering. Stock dimensions run 14 5/8 inches of length with 1 1/2 by 2 1/4 inch drop, which fits a wide range of builds right out of the box.
Rizzini includes five flush-fit nickel coated choke tubes, so you're covered from tight quail flushes to longer pheasant crossing shots without buying anything extra. It all packs into a Rizzini ABS takedown case that travels well. For anyone who's wanted a true Italian over/under with real engraving and real walnut, this one hits a sweet spot that's tough to argue with.
