The .22 ARC is one of the more exciting things to happen to the AR-15 platform in a while, and Rise Armament's 18-inch complete upper is built to get the most out of it. Necked down from the 6mm ARC, the .22 ARC pushes heavy, high-BC .224 bullets fast enough to stay flat and buck wind well past 500 yards, which makes it a serious option for prairie dogs, coyotes, and steel at distance. This upper takes that cartridge and wraps it in a build that's ready to bolt onto your existing lower.
The heart of it is an 18-inch 416R stainless barrel that's button-rifled, air-gauged, and individually tested before it leaves the shop. It runs a 1:7 twist to stabilize the longer, heavier bullets the cartridge was designed around, and the muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 so you can add a brake, comp, or suppressor without any extra machining. A rifle-length gas system keeps things smooth and helps the barrel settle into consistent groups.
The 15.25-inch free-floating handguard is skeletonized aluminum, so it trims weight while giving you a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny rail up top and M-LOK slots around the rest for lights, bipods, and grips. Four threaded QD sling swivel inserts and a snag-free front round it out, and a patent-pending attachment lock helps the rail hold zero. The Dark Gray Cerakote finish looks sharp and stands up to weather in the field.

The .22 ARC feeds from 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, and .22 ARC pattern magazines, since they all share the same cartridge family geometry. Standard 5.56 AR-15 magazines will not feed it reliably, so plan on picking up a few dedicated mags. Brands like ASC, Amend2, and Duramag all make options in this pattern.

It launches heavy, high-BC .224 bullets at velocities that rival the larger .22-250, giving you a flat trajectory and solid wind resistance out past 500 yards while staying in the compact AR-15 platform. With match ammo and a good optic, this 18-inch barrel is capable of consistent hits well beyond that.
It will. The upper uses standard AR-15 receiver dimensions, so it mates up with any mil-spec lower using your normal takedown and pivot pins. Just remember the .22 ARC needs the correct bolt (included here) and the right magazines to function, so it's the feeding system that matters more than the lower itself.
