The RXP22 from Retay USA is a hammer-fired .22 LR semi-automatic pistol built around the idea that you shouldn't have to sacrifice features just because you're shooting rimfire. This FDE variant pairs a Black Cerakote slide with a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote polymer frame for a sharp two-tone look, and the 4" barrel is threaded at 1/2×28 right from the factory for easy suppressor or compensator use.
Under the polymer shell, Retay built the RXP22 on an aerospace-grade 7075 aluminum alloy internal frame and slide — not the lightweight pot-metal construction you sometimes find in budget rimfires. The barrel itself is AISI 4140 steel, precision-drilled and chrome-finished, which is a meaningful upgrade over the barrels commonly found in .22 pistols at this price point. The result is a gun that shoots tighter groups and holds up to regular range use.
The slide comes drilled and tapped for direct RMR and RMSc footprint optics, and Retay also throws in a universal mounting plate for optics that fall outside those footprints — so you've got real flexibility when it comes to adding a red dot. Up front, TruGlo fiber optic sights give you a bright, easy-to-acquire sight picture right out of the box, and the rear is adjustable. Yes, the 4" barrel ships threaded at 1/2×28, which is the standard thread pitch used by most .22 LR suppressors on the market. A thread protector is included to cap the threads when you're not running a can. Just keep in mind that a suppressor is a separate NFA item that requires its own paperwork and transfer process.
The RXP22 sits in the same general category as the G44 and TX22 Compact but brings a few things those guns don't always offer at the same price point, including a factory-threaded barrel, an included universal optics plate, and a weighted metal magazine that mimics the feel of a loaded centerfire mag. This specific variant, the RXP22FDEBLKS10TH, ships with two 10-round magazines. Retay also offers the RXP22 in a 13-round magazine configuration if you want the higher-capacity option. The 13-round magazines from Retay are also weighted metal, which adds to the balance and feel of the pistol.
