This is Retay's limited-production flagship, capped at just 200 pieces per year, and the wood alone tells you why. The Grade 4 oiled Turkish walnut stock and forend are left natural and unenhanced, so the figure you see is the figure the tree grew. Under the pretty exterior is Retay's inertia-driven system paired with the patented Inertia Plus rotating bolt. A rollover torsion spring positively rotates the bolt head into battery and keeps it there, which addresses the classic inertia gun headache of getting bumped out of battery in the field. It also closes quietly with next to no bolt rattle. The action is tuned for target and upland loads, the 3-inch chamber gives you room for heavier stuff, and the deep bore drilled 30-inch barrel comes with a factory-lengthened forcing cone for smoother patterns. A push-button removable trigger group drops the whole fire control unit out in seconds for cleaning, no tools needed.
The 30-inch barrel and 8mm ventilated rib with a red TruGlo fiber optic bead give you a long, smooth sighting plane for sporting clays, doves, and pheasants alike. The three-piece receiver design uses an alloy lower with an aluminum shroud and steel chamber insert to keep weight down around the seven pound mark, so it swings fast without wearing you out on a long walk. A sculpted microcell polyurethane recoil pad with a radiused heel soaks up recoil and mounts clean without snagging your vest.
Retay includes a fitted hard case, five flush-fit MaraPro choke tubes covering skeet through full, a stock shim kit for adjusting fit, and a certificate noting the limited yearly production.
