Yes, and this is one of the areas where the ACE-R stands out among inertia guns. The Inertia Plus system is designed to run everything from light clays loads up to heavy 3 inch waterfowl shells. As with any semi auto, give it a short break-in period with field loads and it should run just about anything reliably.
The receiver profile is the main difference. The ACE-R has the raised humpback style receiver, while the standard ACE has a more traditional rounded look. The action, barrel, stock, and internal components are otherwise the same between the two, so pick whichever silhouette suits your eye.
