Description

If you're chasing tighter groups and more repeatable neck tension, this is where a bushing setup earns its keep. The Redding .325 Titanium Nitride Neck Sizing Bushing lets you size the case neck down to just the right amount, so you're holding the bullet securely without overworking the brass. That means longer case life, less runout, and ammo that behaves the same way shot after shot.

This is the titanium nitride version, which takes Redding's heat treated steel bushing and adds a TiN surface treatment on top. The coating pushes the effective surface hardness way up and noticeably reduces the friction when the neck passes through, so sizing feels smoother and the bushing holds its dimension over a long service life. The base steel is hand polished to a hardness of Rc 60-62, and the titanium nitride layer builds on that foundation.

How the .325 Redding Bushing Fits Your Setup

Like every bushing in the Redding lineup, this one measures 1/2 inch O.D. by 3/8 inch long and drops straight into any Redding bushing style sizing die. It also interchanges freely with Wilson style bushings, so if you're already running a bushing die you can slot this one right in. Each bushing is marked with its size, making it easy to grab the right one off the shelf. Made in the USA.

Picking the Right Size for Your Brass

The .325 refers to the bushing's inside diameter in inches, built specifically for .30 caliber work. To find your correct size, measure the outside neck diameter of a loaded round with a precision micrometer, then subtract .001 to .002 inches to account for brass spring back and the neck tension you want. Redding offers these in .001 inch increments across the full caliber range, so if .325 isn't your exact number you can fine tune it either direction and tailor the tension to your load.

Frequently Asked Questions

What dies does the Redding .325 titanium nitride bushing work with?

It fits all Redding bushing style sizing dies and interchanges freely with Wilson style bushings. The standard 1/2 inch O.D. by 3/8 inch long dimensions are the same across the Redding bushing range, so it drops right into your existing bushing die setup.

How do I know if .325 is the right bushing size for my brass?

Measure the outside neck diameter of a loaded cartridge with a precision micrometer, then subtract .001 to .002 inches to allow for brass spring back and your desired neck tension. If .325 isn't your exact number, Redding makes these in .001 inch increments so you can fine tune up or down.

What's the difference between the titanium nitride and the plain steel Redding bushing?

Both start as hand polished heat treated steel at Rc 60-62 hardness. The titanium nitride version adds a TiN surface treatment on top that further increases the effective surface hardness and reduces sizing friction, which many reloaders prefer for smoother operation and long term wear.

Why use a bushing to size the neck instead of a standard die?

A bushing lets you control exactly how much you size the neck down, giving you just the right amount of tension to hold the bullet without overworking the brass. That translates to better neck concentricity, longer case life, and more consistent round to round performance.
