Radians Def-Guard Over-the-Head Earmuff NRR 23 dB, Black/Red

Description

The Radians Def-Guard is one of those no-drama pieces of gear that earns its spot in the range bag, the truck, and the workbench drawer. It's a passive over-the-head earmuff built for folks who want reliable ear protection without a lot of bells and whistles. Weighing in at under 5 ounces, it stays out of your way whether you're punching paper at the range, running a table saw, or knocking out chores with the mower.

What Makes the Def-Guard Worth Grabbing

These muffs carry a Noise Reduction Rating of 23 dB, which is a solid amount of protection for most shooting and shop environments. The earcups are soft, foam-filled, and padded so they seat comfortably around your ears instead of pinching down after twenty minutes. The polymer, fully dielectric construction keeps the weight low and means there's no metal in the build, which is a nice touch if you work around electrical hazards on the job.

Fit and Everyday Use With the Def-Guard Earmuff

The headband uses adjustable slides so you can dial in the fit for smaller or larger heads, and it holds that adjustment once you set it. If you're dealing with an especially loud indoor range or heavy machinery, you can double up and wear the Def-Guard over a set of foam earplugs for extra dampening. That flexibility makes it an easy recommendation for a household where more than one person borrows the same pair.

Bottom line, the Def-Guard is the kind of dependable, lightweight muff you keep around because it just works. It's practical protection for range trips, hunting camp, landscaping, and shop days, and it's simple enough that you'll actually reach for it every time instead of leaving it behind.
