There are AR pistols you buy to tinker with, and then there is the Radian Model 1, which shows up needing nothing. Radian machines the upper, lower, and extended handguard from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, then Cerakotes all three together in Flat Dark Earth so the color matches perfectly across the whole gun. It sounds like a small detail until you see one in person next to a mixed-finish build. The fit between receivers is tight enough that you would swear it was one piece.
The 10.5-inch barrel is match grade 416R stainless steel chambered in .223 Wylde, which means it handles both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO while squeezing out better accuracy than either standard chamber. Radian backs it with a sub-MOA guarantee using Black Hills match ammo, which is not a claim many pistol-length guns can make. Up top you get an enhanced black nitride M16 bolt carrier group and Radian's own Raptor-SD charging handle, a suppressor-optimized version of the charging handle half the industry already upgrades to anyway. The muzzle wears a Dead Air QD flash hider, so if you run a Dead Air can, you are already set up for it.
Everything on this gun works from either side. The Talon 45/90 safety selector gives you a standard 90 degree throw or a quick 45 degree option, and the ambidextrous layout means lefties finally get a gun built for them instead of adapted to them. The trigger is an ATC AR Gold, a genuine match trigger with a crisp, light break that makes the accuracy guarantee feel very achievable from a bench.
Every Model 1 is assembled by hand by a trained gunsmith who inspects, test fires, and cleans it before it leaves the shop, and Radian guarantees the gun for life. Designed and manufactured in the USA, with a 6-position receiver extension, H2 buffer, and QD end plate rounding out the lower. The M-LOK handguard with its stainless anti-rotation pin gives you plenty of real estate for lights and lasers. Premium is an overused word, but this one earns it.
Yes. The .223 Wylde chamber is designed to safely run both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. The bonus is that the Wylde chamber's tighter tolerances typically deliver better accuracy than a standard 5.56 chamber, which is part of how Radian backs up its sub-MOA guarantee with match ammunition.
Very much so. The barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and wears a Dead Air QD flash hider, so Dead Air suppressors with the matching mount attach directly. The included Raptor-SD charging handle is also suppressor optimized, venting gas away from your face when running a can.
No, it ships optic ready with a bare top rail. Most buyers at this level are mounting a red dot or LPVO anyway, and the full-length rail plus M-LOK handguard give you plenty of room for whatever sighting setup and backup irons you prefer.
Radian installs an ATC AR Gold match grade trigger from the factory, which is a serious upgrade over the mil-spec triggers found in most ARs. It breaks light and clean with minimal overtravel, and it is a big part of why this gun shoots so well for a 10.5-inch platform.
