There aren't many .45 ACP large-format pistols out there that shoot as soft as this one. The Grand Power Stribog SP45A3 runs a roller-delayed blowback action instead of the heavy straight blowback system most pistol caliber platforms rely on, and the difference is something you feel on the very first magazine. Less bolt mass slamming around means less muzzle movement, faster follow-up shots, and a gun that stays flat even with stout defensive loads. Grand Power built its name on roller-delayed designs, and bringing that system to .45 ACP was a smart move.
The 8 inch button-rifled barrel comes threaded in .578×28 with a thread protector installed, so adding a suppressor or muzzle device is a simple swap. Feeding comes from durable 20-round polymer magazines that follow the proven HK UMP pattern, which keeps spare mags affordable and easy to find. The upper is aircraft-grade aluminum with a polymer lower, both finished in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote, and the whole package comes in at a manageable 19.45 inches overall. A MIL-Spec AR-style trigger rounds things out, so the pull feels familiar if you spend time behind a black rifle.
Full-length Picatinny rail up top handles red dots and magnifiers, with another rail section at 6 o'clock and M-LOK slots at 3 and 9 for lights and lasers. Flip-up iron sights come installed from the factory, so you can shoot it the day you pick it up without spending another dime on glass. The rear of the receiver wears a 1913 Picatinny backplate, and QD sling sockets are built in for easy sling mounting.
Every control on the SP45A3 works from either side, and the non-reciprocating charging handle can be swapped to whichever side you prefer without tools. Lefties get a gun that works with them instead of against them. Straight blowback .45s need a heavy bolt to stay closed during firing, which creates a lot of felt recoil and bolt slap. The Stribog's roller-delayed system mechanically delays the action opening instead, so Grand Power could use a lighter bolt. The result is noticeably softer recoil and a flatter shooting gun.
