The Radian Afterburner + Ramjet combo takes a Glock 19 Gen3 and turns it into a flatter-shooting, faster-cycling pistol without a bunch of extra bulk hanging off the front. It pairs the Afterburner micro compensator with the match-grade, fluted Ramjet barrel, and together they knock felt recoil down by as much as 44% when you're running 115-grain ammo. Instead of threads, Radian uses a taper-lock design where a tapered locking screw seats into a V-groove on the underside of the barrel. That single screw times the compensator perfectly and pulls it down tight against the muzzle end of the Ramjet, no Loctite, shims, or setscrews needed. You drop the barrel into your slide like a factory unit, slide the Afterburner over the front, and snug the screw to 15 inch-pounds with the included Torx bit. When it's time to clean, back the screw out and the comp comes right off.
The Afterburner compensator is machined from hardened 17-4 stainless, while the Ramjet barrel is cut from hardened 416R stainless. Both wear a black DLC coating that shrugs off muzzle blast erosion and corrosion, so this is a combo you can run hard and not baby. The Ramjet also carries a gas-sealing chamber and a loaded chamber indicator, and the fluting isn't just for looks, it helps shed weight and reduce friction.
At only about .47 inches long, the Afterburner is genuinely compact for what it does, punching well above its size class compared to a lot of full-length comps. Installed on a G19, the combo stretches the slide out to Glock 17 length, which means it slides right into your existing G17 holsters and the angled front faces make reholstering smooth. It's a carry-friendly upgrade that competition folks and everyday range regulars both get a lot out of.
No, and that's the whole point of this setup. The Ramjet barrel is threadless, and the Afterburner locks to it using the INTRA-LOK taper-lock screw rather than muzzle threads. You get the benefits of a compensator without dealing with a threaded muzzle.

Field strip the slide, drop the Ramjet in place of your factory barrel, slide the Afterburner over the front, and tighten the tapered screw to 15 inch-pounds with the included Torx bit. When you want to clean it, just back the screw out and the comp lifts off.
