No, it uses a BDL style internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate. That keeps the bottom of the rifle slick and snag free for carrying in rough country, which is exactly what this platform was built for. You load from the top and drop the floorplate to unload quickly.
You give up some velocity compared to a 24 or 26 inch tube, but the tradeoff is a noticeably handier, lighter rifle for packing into steep country.
