The Star Model BM is a cool bit of history — a compact, single-action, all-steel 9mm produced in Spain between 1972 and 1992, with roots in the 1911 platform and a long service record with Spanish military and police agencies. Over 200,000 were made, and many found their way to the US market through importers like Century Arms and Interarms. They're great shooters, but like any out-of-production pistol, finding spare magazines has become increasingly difficult. That's where this ProMag STA 30 comes in.
This is a straightforward, 8-round single-stack replacement mag built specifically for the Star Model BM chambered in 9mm. The body is constructed from heat-treated carbon steel with a black oxide finish, keeping that classic blued look consistent with the pistol itself. The spring is wound from heat-treated chrome-silicon wire, which ProMag uses across their lineup for its fatigue resistance and ability to maintain tension over time. An injection-molded polymer follower guides rounds up the tube, and witness holes on the body let you do a quick visual round count without having to drop the mag.
