This magazine is designed for standard AR-15 lower receivers chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO. The precision-engineered magazine catch cutout is designed for a snug fit in standard receivers. If you have a non-standard lower with an unusual mag well shape, there's a small chance of a tight fit, so it's worth checking compatibility before purchase.
You receive the drum magazine itself. ProMag does not include a magazine loader with this model, so you may want to purchase one separately if you plan to load it frequently. A loader is optional but highly recommended for practical use at the range.
