Legacy Sports got plenty of attention at SHOT Show with the ST912, and once you run down the feature list it's easy to see why. This is a 12 gauge over under wearing 30 inch chrome lined vent rib barrels with a clean black finish, matched to a black receiver with jeweled internals that give the action a smooth, satisfying open and close. The genuine walnut forend and buttstock warm the whole package up, and the adjustable comb means you can dial in your cheek weld and point of impact instead of learning to live with a stock that almost fits.
Those 30 inch barrels are right in the sweet spot for sporting clays, trap, and skeet. The extra length smooths out your swing and keeps the muzzle moving through the target, while the red bead up front gives your eye a simple reference without cluttering the sight picture. Crisp mechanical triggers and a barrel selector let you set up each station how you like, and automatic ejectors kick your empties clear so you can reload fast and stay in rhythm. The 3 inch chambers add flexibility if you want to pull this one out of the gun cabinet for a dove field or duck blind.
Five extended choke tubes come in the box, covering Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder. That's a spread that handles everything from close crossers to long report pairs, and the extended design makes swapping between stations quick with no wrench hunting mid round. Combine that with the adjustable comb and you've got a gun that can be tuned to the shooter and the game, which is the kind of setup that usually lives on much pricier racks.
Whether it's your first dedicated target gun or a smart backup to something fancier, the ST912 covers the fundamentals well. Good wood, good barrels, ejectors, chokes, and a comb you can actually adjust. Hard combination to argue with.
That's exactly what it was built for. The 30 inch vent rib barrels give you a longer sighting plane and smoother swing, and the adjustable comb lets you fine tune your fit and point of impact. With ejectors, mechanical triggers, and five extended chokes included, it covers everything from skeet to trap to a full sporting clays course.
It ships with five extended choke tubes: Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder. The extended design makes them easy to swap by hand between stations. That range covers close targets, long birds, and everything in between.
This one has automatic ejectors, which kick spent hulls clear when you break the action open. That's a feature usually found on more expensive target guns, and it makes a real difference in keeping your pace up during a round of clays.
It leans target with the 30 inch barrels and adjustable comb, but the 3 inch chambers and included choke selection make it perfectly capable in the field. Doves, upland birds, and waterfowl with the right loads are all fair game. Plenty of folks like having one gun that pulls double duty.
