The weight savings come from smart engineering, not corner cutting. The receiver set is forged aluminum, and the 16.5 inch match-grade 416R stainless barrel runs a 1:8 twist that stabilizes everything from light varmint loads to heavy match bullets. POF's Micro-B muzzle brake takes real bite out of the recoil, and the mid-length direct impingement gas system keeps the action running smooth. Inside, the KeyLock bolt carrier group uses a dovetailed, staked gas key for rigidity, and POF's E2 dual extraction chamber uses small channels cut into the chamber walls to help push spent cases out. It's a clever system that keeps extraction reliable even when the rifle gets hot and dirty.
The 11 inch Renegade M-LOK handguard sits over POF's oversized heat sink barrel nut, a three inch aluminum chunk that wraps the chamber area and pulls heat away far faster than a standard steel nut. Mission First Tactical furniture keeps the weight down and the ergonomics practical, with an ambidextrous selector and QD sling points where you want them. The flat top receiver is optics ready, so mount your favorite LPVO or red dot and go.

The 1:8 twist on the 16.5 inch stainless barrel is versatile and handles a wide spread of .308 bullet weights well, from 147 grain FMJ up through 175 grain match loads. For hunting, common 150 to 168 grain soft points and bonded bullets are a great fit. As with any match-grade barrel, it pays to try a few loads and see what it groups tightest.
They're related but not the same rifle. The Rogue grew out of POF's Revolution platform, which shrunk the .308 down closer to AR-15 proportions, and this version uses a direct impingement gas system instead of a piston. The result is a simpler, lighter setup that keeps the compact handling the Revolution is known for.
