Most 6.5 Creedmoor semi-autos make you pay for that flat-shooting cartridge in pounds. The POF Rogue takes a different route. Patriot Ordnance Factory built it on compact forged 7075 receivers instead of a traditional big-frame setup, trimming weight the smart way rather than drilling the thing full of holes. The rifle comes in around 5.9 pounds empty, which is lighter than a lot of 5.56 carbines, and you feel that difference every step of the way into a treestand or up a ridge.
The 16.5 inch match-grade stainless steel barrel runs a 1:8 twist, so it stabilizes the heavy 140 grain class bullets that make 6.5 Creedmoor such a favorite for deer, hogs, and steel at distance. Gas comes through a direct impingement system feeding POF's KeyLock bolt carrier, and the chamber features the company's patented E2 dual-extraction technology, four small channels that use gas pressure to help break the case free for smoother, more reliable extraction. Up front, a Micro-B muzzle brake on standard 5/8×24 threads tames what little recoil this cartridge produces, and the oversized barrel nut doubles as a heat sink to keep things cooler during longer strings.
An 11.5 inch Renegade M-LOK handguard gives you room for a light, bipod, or sling mounts without adding bulk, and the full-length top rail is ready for the optic of your choice since no sights are included. The Mission First Tactical six-position stock rides on POF's anti-tilt buffer tube, which has carrier cradle extensions that support the bolt carrier through its entire travel. POF's single-stage drop-in trigger breaks clean at a listed 4.5 pounds, a genuine upgrade over the gritty mil-spec units most rifles ship with. Feeding from a 10-round magazine, the Rogue makes a well-sorted setup for hunters and anyone who wants real reach without lugging a heavyweight.
No, and that is the whole point. The Rogue is built on POF's compact Revolution-style platform using forged receivers close to AR-15 size, which is how it lands at roughly 5.9 pounds unloaded. You get big-cartridge performance in a rifle that handles more like a standard carbine than a typical AR-10.
The 1:8 twist stabilizes the full range of common 6.5 Creedmoor loads, including the popular 140 grain match and hunting bullets. That makes the Rogue equally at home stretching out on steel or filling a deer tag. Lighter 120 to 130 grain loads shoot well through it too.
Yes. The muzzle is threaded in the standard 5/8×24 pattern, so once you remove the Micro-B brake you can mount most 30 caliber suppressors or a direct-thread can rated for 6.5 Creedmoor. Just keep an eye on your gas settings and buffer setup like you would with any suppressed semi-auto.
No, it ships optic ready with a clean full-length Picatinny top rail and no iron sights. Given what 6.5 Creedmoor can do at distance, most owners top it with an LPVO or a mid-power precision scope. The 11.5 inch M-LOK handguard gives you plenty of room for accessories as well.
