The 16.5 inch carbon steel barrel wears a durable matte black finish and comes threaded 1/2×28 with an A2-style muzzle device installed, so adding a suppressor down the road is about as simple as it gets. The polymer upper and lower keep weight down and shrug off range abuse, and the whole rifle is backed by Smith & Wesson's lifetime service policy.
This is the rifle a lot of folks buy to train with, then end up shooting more than anything else in the safe. Yes, the 16.5 inch carbon steel barrel is threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard pattern for most rimfire suppressors and muzzle devices. An A2-style muzzle device comes installed from the factory, so just spin it off and mount your can.
Most of them, yes. Grips, stocks, triggers, and rail-mounted accessories generally swap right over since the rifle is compatible with most standard AR components. The M-LOK handguard and Picatinny rail take the same lights, optics, and accessories you'd run on a centerfire AR.
