The Benelli M4 earned its reputation the hard way, and the Panzer Arms M4 Tactical follows that blueprint closely enough that parts interchange between the two platforms. That means the aftermarket for stocks, mag tubes, bolt handles, and just about everything else is already waiting for you. Panzer builds this one in Turkey with an aluminum receiver, an 18.5 inch black barrel with a 3 inch chamber, and an extended magazine tube that gives you 5+1 on tap.
The heart of this shotgun is its ARGO-style gas piston action, the same self-regulating design that made the original M4 famous for cycling everything from light target loads to full-power 3 inch magnums. It stays cleaner-running than many autoloaders and keeps follow-up shots quick. Ambidextrous controls make manipulation simpler no matter which shoulder you run it from, and the fixed synthetic stock with its ergonomic polymer pistol grip keeps the whole package planted under recoil. Here is a nice touch: underneath that fixed stock sits a pre-installed three-position notched buffer tube, so swapping to a collapsible stock down the road is a bolt-on job instead of a project.
Ghost ring sights come standard and are fast to pick up in a hurry, while the Picatinny rail running along the receiver gives you room for a red dot if that is more your speed. Panzer also includes a mil-spec Picatinny barrel clamp for mounting a light or laser out front, plus sling attachment points so you can carry it comfortably. A set of three choke tubes rounds out the package, letting you tighten or open patterns for defense work, clays, or a day chasing birds.
Owners consistently point to fit and finish that punches well above what the price tag suggests, with many comparing it favorably to the gun it is patterned after. For a do-it-all tactical 12 gauge that leaves room in the budget for ammo and accessories, this one is tough to argue with.
Yes, that is one of this shotgun's biggest selling points. Parts are interchangeable with the Benelli M4, so stocks, extended magazine tubes, bolt handles, and other upgrades built for the Benelli platform will fit. That opens up a huge aftermarket without paying Benelli money up front.
You can. Underneath the fixed synthetic stock, Panzer pre-installs a three-position notched buffer tube, so adding a collapsible M4-style stock later is a straightforward swap. No gunsmithing or extra hardware kits needed.
The ARGO-style gas piston system is designed to handle everything from standard target loads up to heavy 3 inch magnums. Like most gas-operated autoloaders, it benefits from a break-in period, so run a few boxes of fuller-power loads through it before trusting it with the lightest budget shells. Once broken in, it digests a wide range of ammunition.
Yes, it ships with a set of three choke tubes and a choke tool, with one choke installed in the barrel from the factory. That makes it versatile enough for defensive patterns, clays, or field use. The barrel accepts common Benelli/Beretta Mobil-pattern chokes, so aftermarket options are easy to find.
