The Outdoor Connection Express Paracord Sling keeps things simple and tough. It wraps a heavy-duty mil-spec webbing core in braided 550 paracord, giving you a shoulder strap that shrugs off rain, mud, and the general beating that comes with hauling a gun through the field. The coyote brown and black colorway stays low-key on just about any rifle or shotgun, and the paracord construction means you've got a length of usable cord woven right into your setup if you ever need it.
The braided paracord section doubles as a shoulder pad, spreading the weight across a wider area so a heavier rig doesn't dig in on long walks. Underneath that, the mil-spec webbing does the real load-bearing work. It's a no-frills approach that a lot of folks prefer over bulky neoprene pads, especially if you like a slimmer profile that won't snag on brush or your pack straps.
A tri-glide slide handles the adjustment, so you can lengthen or shorten the sling one-handed without fumbling. The webbing runs up to a 46 inch max length and cinches down to around 34 inches, which covers everything from a tight tactical carry to a relaxed hunting drape. The included Brute E-Z detachable swivels are the standout here. They let you pop the sling on and off in a hurry, which is handy when you're switching guns, packing up, or cleaning at the end of the day. They fit firearms set up with standard swivel bases.
Paracord slings earned their reputation because they hold up. The 550 cord is strong, weather-resistant, and doesn't get slick or heavy when it's wet. Whether you're carrying a deer rifle up a ridge or slinging a shotgun for a day in the blind, this one is made to disappear into the background and just do its job. It's a straightforward, dependable pick for anyone who wants function over flash.
It works with rifles and shotguns that have standard swivel bases installed. The included Brute E-Z detachable swivels are designed to fit those standard bases, so if your gun already has swivel studs or bases, you're good to go. If your firearm doesn't have bases yet, you'll need to add a set separately.
The tri-glide slide lets you adjust the sling one-handed, running from roughly 34 inches up to a 46 inch max length. That range covers a snug carry as well as a longer, more relaxed drape over the shoulder. It's quick to change on the fly without any tools.
Yes, the shoulder section is built from braided 550 paracord, the same strong cord people rely on for a range of tasks. It doubles as a padded shoulder area during normal use and can be unraveled if you ever need a length of cord in a pinch. Just keep in mind that taking it apart means unwrapping that part of the sling.
It does. The 550 paracord and mil-spec webbing are both weather-resistant and won't soak up water and get heavy or slick like some materials. That makes it a solid choice for hunting in rain, snow, or damp conditions.
