These panels are machined from genuine G10 laminate, a fiberglass composite that simply refuses to quit. If you're running these through different seasons or environments, you don't have to worry about your grip changing on you. The texturing gets CNC machined into the laminate itself, then hand-finished for consistency. That hard surface base lets the texture bite deeper and sharper than you'd get from checkered wood alternatives.
These Government model panels fit full-size 1911s from the major manufacturers including Colt, Springfield Armory, Kimber, Rock Island Armory, Dan Wesson, and others. The Predator Green color works across carry, range, and safe queen applications. Your existing grip screws and bushings will work fine unless you're switching grip thicknesses. You can use your stock hardware and drop these on immediately.

If your 1911 is full-size and uses a Government or Commander frame, these will work. Just measure the distance between your grip screw holes: full-size 1911s measure 3 1/16 inches apart center-to-center.
In most cases no. Your existing stock screws and bushings will work fine with these Operator II panels unless you're switching from thick to thin grips or vice versa. Standard thickness grips use standard hardware, and these are standard thickness. Installation is straightforward if your hardware is already set up properly.
The Predator Green Operator II has a very aggressive golfball pattern on the front strap paired with diagonal grooves on the back. It's designed for serious purchase and control during competition or tactical use. Some users find it sharp initially and lightly sand the edges with 400-grit sandpaper if they prefer carrying appendix or want slightly less bite on bare skin.
This standard configuration does not have an ambidextrous safety cut. If your 1911 has an ambi safety on the right side, you'll need to contact VZ about ordering these with a specific ambi cut for your gun's brand. VZ offers different ambi cut options depending on whether you're running a standard ambi, Rock Island ambi, or extended ambi setup.
