The Olight Baldr Pro R takes everything people liked about the original Baldr Pro and drops the battery hassle. It pairs a cool white LED putting out up to 1,350 lumens with an integrated green laser, giving you both a wall of light for identifying what's in front of you and a fast aiming reference that stays visible day or night. The green beam reaches out to around 200 meters, and because green wavelengths read far brighter to the human eye than red, you get quicker target acquisition in almost any lighting.
One of the smartest changes on this model is where the laser lives. Olight tucked the green emitter up into the head of the light instead of hanging it underneath, which trims the overall height and keeps the profile cleaner on a holstered pistol. Down below, that freed-up space holds the magnetic charging port, so you snap the included MCC cable to the bottom, top it off overnight, and skip pulling the light off your gun to change cells. A full charge gives you roughly 93 minutes of runtime, plenty for training sessions and defensive readiness.
Controls are refreshingly simple. Ambidextrous rear paddles handle momentary and constant-on for the light and give you direct access to strobe, while a mode selector ring around the head lets you pick white light only, green laser only, or both together. The zeroing screws adjust for windage and elevation with the included tool and are built to hold their setting through recoil and repeated re-mounting.
The light ships with both Glock and Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rail adapters, and the locking swing-arm system lets you attach or pull it off in a hurry without tools once it's dialed in. Built from aircraft-grade aluminum with an IPX4 water resistance rating, it's made to take real-world abuse. Holster makers including Alien Gear, Werkz, Bucks, and Red Hill Tactical already cut rigs to fit it, so building out a complete carry setup is straightforward. That charging port also accepts an optional remote pressure switch if you decide to run it on a long gun later.
Yes. It comes with adapters for both Glock-style (GL) rails and standard Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rails, so it works on most pistols and can move to a long gun. The locking swing-arm lets you attach or detach it quickly once it's set up.
