The Odin Works ACC65BCG is a complete bolt carrier group made for AR-15 rifles chambered in 6.5mm Grendel. It carries a Type 2 bolt face, which is the SAAMI-spec Grendel geometry with the deeper .136 headspace that supports the case head better and takes stress off the extractor. If your barrel is stamped 6.5 Grendel, this is almost always the bolt you want. The whole assembly is built to true mil-spec dimensions, so it drops right into a standard AR-15 upper without any fuss.
The carrier is machined from case-hardened 8620 steel and finished in black nitride, a low-friction coating that runs slick and cuts down how often you need to reach for the oil bottle. The bolt itself is formed from case-hardened 9310 steel, then CNC ground on the external surfaces after heat treat for a precise fit. Odin didn't cut corners on the small parts either. The gas key is 4130 steel fastened with Grade 8 hardware and properly staked into a milled valley so it stays put, the cam pin is hardened 4340, and the firing pin is a mil-spec 8740 steel piece that's center-less ground and hard chrome coated.
The 6.5 Grendel is a hard-working cartridge, and extractors are the usual weak point on these builds. Odin addressed that with a 4340 steel extractor, manganese phosphate coated, backed by a mil-spec extractor spring and O-ring combo for consistent tension. Every unit gets magnetic particle inspected and high-pressure tested, so you know the bolt has been checked for hidden flaws and proven under load before it ships. It's made in the USA.

This is a Type 2 bolt face, which uses the SAAMI-spec .136 headspace. If your barrel is stamped 6.5 Grendel, it's almost certainly cut for a Type 2 bolt, so this will be the right match. Barrels labeled .264 LBC or Grendel Type 1 use the shallower .125 bolt face and would need a different bolt, so check your barrel marking or chamber if you're unsure.
The key difference is bolt face depth and headspacing. Type 2 has the deeper .136 face that's standard for trademarked 6.5 Grendel barrels, while Type 1 (also called .264 LBC) uses a shallower .125 face borrowed from the 7.62×39. The deeper Type 2 face supports the case head better and is generally regarded as easier on extractors, which is why most current Grendel setups run it.
Black nitride is a hard, low-friction surface treatment that runs slicker than phosphate and resists carbon buildup, so it doesn't demand as much oil to keep cycling smoothly. You'll still want to lube it for proper function, especially on a hard-use rifle, but cleanup tends to be quicker and the coating holds up well against wear and corrosion.
It's a complete assembly, ready to install. You get the carrier, bolt, staked gas key, cam pin, firing pin, extractor, and the spring and O-ring combo all together. It drops into a standard mil-spec AR-15 upper without extra parts.
