Description

Cleaning your barrel is one thing, but knowing whether it's actually clean is another. The Teslong NTG100H is a 26-inch rigid rifle borescope that plugs into your computer or Android device and shows you exactly what's happening down the bore, from carbon and copper fouling in the lands and grooves to throat erosion and tool marks. Once you've seen the inside of a well-used barrel on a screen, guessing with a bore light starts to feel like the stone age.

The probe measures 0.2 inches (5mm) across, which slides into .22 caliber barrels and anything larger. A close-focus camera paired with a 90-degree side-view mirror gives you a sharp, up-close look at the barrel wall, and you can unscrew the mirror to check the firing pin or chamber face when you need to. Six LED ring lights surround the lens and adjust for brightness, so even the darkest corners of the bore light up cleanly. Video runs at 720p, which is plenty of detail for spotting the fine stuff most people never notice.

What Sets the NTG100H Apart from a Flexible Scope

Unlike Teslong's semi-rigid cable models, the NTG100H uses a stiff stainless steel rod. That rigidity makes the whole thing far easier to control and rotate inside the barrel, and there's an inch scale printed along the probe so you can pinpoint exactly where a deposit or a rough spot sits. For bench work, that steadiness is a real advantage.

Getting the NTG100H Connected

This is a USB borescope, meaning it needs a device with a screen to display the image. It works with Windows PCs, Mac computers, and Android phones or tablets, mostly plug-and-play using the built-in camera app or free software. Worth noting up front: the standard NTG100H does not connect to iPhones or iPads, so if you're an Apple mobile user, that's the thing to keep in mind before you buy. For rifle owners, precision reloaders, and anyone who takes barrel care seriously, this is an affordable way to see what your cleaning rod can't.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Teslong NTG100H work with an iPhone or iPad?

No, the standard NTG100H is a USB model that connects to Windows PCs, Mac computers, and Android phones and tablets. It will not work with Apple iOS devices like iPhones or iPads. If you need Apple mobile compatibility, look at Teslong's USB-C or WiFi rifle borescope models instead.

What size barrels will the NTG100H fit?

The probe is 0.2 inches (5mm) in diameter, so it slides into .22 caliber barrels and anything larger. You adjust the side-view mirror in or out depending on your caliber to dial in the best focus. For larger bores, screwing the mirror out gives you the right focal distance against the barrel wall.

What can I actually see with this borescope?

The close-focus camera and side-view mirror let you inspect carbon buildup, copper fouling, throat erosion, tool marks, rifling wear, and chamber condition in real detail. It's a great way to confirm whether your cleaning routine is really getting the job done. Remove the mirror and you can also check the firing pin or chamber face.

Is the NTG100H hard to set up?

Not really. For most Windows and Mac computers it's plug-and-play using the built-in camera app, and Android users can run a free camera app to view the feed. The rigid probe is also easier to control and rotate inside the barrel than a flexible cable model, which helps when you're trying to hold a steady image.
