The frame, cylinder, and 1.63 inch barrel are precision machined from stainless steel, the action is a simple single-action design with an exposed hammer, and the fixed half-moon front sight keeps the profile snag-free. The .22 Magnum chambering gives you noticeably more pop than .22 LR out of a gun this size, and recoil stays entirely manageable. Loading is classic NAA: pull the cylinder pin, drop the cylinder out, load your five rounds, and reassemble. The hammer rests in safety notches machined between the chambers, so you can carry all five stoked without the hammer sitting over a live round.

Not as it ships. This model is chambered specifically for .22 WMR, and .22 LR should not be fired from a Magnum cylinder. NAA does make a .22 LR conversion cylinder that fits their Magnum frame minis, so that is an option if you want cheaper practice ammo down the road.
Yes, when it is carried correctly. NAA machines safety notches into the cylinder between the chambers, and resting the hammer in one of those notches keeps it completely off any live round. That lets you carry a full five rounds safely, which is a big advantage over old-style single actions that had to be carried with an empty chamber.
Both, really. Mechanically it is the same proven stainless 22M platform NAA has built for decades, so it will run just fine at the range or as a deep-concealment backup. That said, it is a limited-edition commemorative with engraving and pearl grips, so plenty of buyers keep the round count low and treat it as a collectible.
These load the old-school way. You remove the cylinder pin from the front of the frame, take the cylinder out of the gun, load or eject your rounds, then set the cylinder back in and reinsert the pin. It takes a little practice at first, but it becomes quick and second nature after a few range sessions.
