Both sights carry fine machined serrations to cut glare, and the steel bodies wear a black nitride finish that shrugs off holster wear and weather.
The front sight uses Night Fision's Perfect Dot design, with Swiss tritium sealed inside a patented injection molded polymer sleeve rather than the aluminum ring and painted-on white you see on a lot of sights. That sleeve holds a domed lens that focuses the tritium into a sharp green dot after dark, while the yellow fluorescent ring pulls in ambient light for fast pickup during the day. It's guaranteed not to chip, crack, fade, or peel.
These are steel sights installed in your dovetails, so a sight pusher makes the job clean and Night Fision recommends a gunsmith if you're not set up for it.
