Anyone who has spent time behind iron sights knows the front post makes or breaks your sight picture. Too thick and you cover up the target, too thin and it disappears in low light. The KNS Precision Multi Post Front Sight Pack takes the guesswork out of it by giving you seven different posts in a single kit, so you can swap them out and find what your eyes actually like without ordering one at a time.
The assortment covers a wide range of aiming preferences. You get three square posts in .034", .052" and .072" widths, three round dot posts in the same .034", .052" and .072" sizes, plus a V-notch and an inverted V post that points up. That spread lets you go from a fine target-focused post for precision work to a wider, faster post for quick target acquisition. The round dot options give you a clean, defined aiming point that a lot of folks find easier to pick up than a flat-top post.
Every post body in this KNS sight pack is machined from steel and finished in black oxide, so they hold up to real use and match the look of a standard front sight. They're designed as A2-style replacement posts and fit M-16, AR-15, AR-10 and SR-25 platforms that use a standard front sight base. Installation is the same as swapping any A2 post, so if you've adjusted your front sight for elevation before, you already know the drill.
One thing worth knowing: these are built for fixed A2 front sight bases and towers, not every folding or flip-up sight on the market, so it's smart to confirm your setup uses a standard threaded A2 post before ordering. For a stripped-down iron sight rig or a classic build where you want the sight picture tuned to you, this kit is a cheap, practical upgrade that pays off every time you line up on target.
You get seven posts total in the kit. That breaks down to three square posts in .034", .052" and .072" widths, three round dot posts in those same three sizes, plus one V-notch post and one inverted V post that points up. It's enough variety to test out several sight pictures and settle on the one that works best for your eyes.
The posts are A2-style and designed for M-16, AR-15, AR-10 and SR-25 rifles that use a standard front sight base or tower. If your rifle uses a threaded A2 front sight post now, these will thread right in the same way. It's worth confirming your front sight is a fixed A2 style rather than a proprietary folding or flip-up design before ordering.
All of the post bodies in this pack are made from steel with a black oxide finish. That gives you a durable post that stands up to regular use and matches the look of a factory front sight.
Post width changes your sight picture and how much of the target you can see. A thinner post covers less of the target and is favored for precision at distance, while a wider post is faster to pick up and better in low light. Having the full range in one kit lets you experiment and pick the size that lines up best with your shooting.
