With modern TSS loads, absolutely. Tungsten shot is far denser than lead, so a 3" .410 shell packed with #9 TSS carries plenty of pellet energy and pattern density to cleanly take gobblers at 40 yards. The tradeoff is premium shell cost, but the near-zero recoil and light carry weight win a lot of hunters over.
It uses shell extractors, not automatic ejectors. When you break the action open, the extractors lift the spent hulls up out of the chambers so you can pluck them out by hand. Most turkey hunters prefer this anyway since your empties stay with you instead of flying into the leaves.
It ships with three extended tubes: two XX-Full turkey chokes for tight gobbler patterns and one improved cylinder for more open work. Screw in the IC tube and it makes a fun, light-handling gun for squirrels, rabbits, or close-flushing birds. That flexibility is a nice bonus in a purpose-built turkey gun.
Yes. The 3" chambers will handle both 2.5" and 3" .410 shells, so you can run lighter field loads for practice or small game and step up to 3" TSS turkey loads when it counts. As with any shotgun, just make sure you're using ammo that matches the .410 bore marking on the barrel.
