The XS Minimalist Suppressor Height Night Sights take a simple, front-focused approach that a lot of pistol shooters swear by. Instead of the usual three-dot layout, you get one bright orange front sight doing the heavy lifting and a clean, blacked-out rear that stays out of the way. That combination lets your eye snap to the front post fast when things get hectic, while the crisp rear notch still gives you the four-corner alignment you need for precise shots at distance.
The front sight is the star here. It carries a tritium lamp in the center surrounded by XS's Ember Glow Dot, a photoluminescent orange ring that soaks up ambient light and glows on its own in low light. Hit it with a weapon light or flashlight and that orange dot charges right up, so you get the best of both worlds: a self-powered tritium glow that runs 24/7 and a high-contrast dot that pops in bright daylight. Orange was chosen because it contrasts especially well against most backgrounds without washing out.
These sit taller than standard irons, which means they'll clear most suppressors and can serve as backup iron sights behind a slide-mounted optic. Co-witness isn't guaranteed with every setup, so it's smart to measure your optic, plate, and slide before committing. The rear also features a ledge for one-handed slide manipulation off a belt or boot in a pinch.
This set fits a wide range of pistols including the Sig P320, P365, P226, P229 and similar P-series models, plus the Springfield XD, XD-M, XD-S, XD-E and Hellcat, and the FN 509. Note it won't fit Sig X or XL variants where the rear sight attaches to the optics plate. Everything is CNC-machined from solid steel bar stock in Fort Worth, Texas, and the rear serrations knock down glare in bright light. Installation is DIY-friendly with a sight pusher or a hammer and punch, and XS backs the tritium with a 12-year glow warranty.
Yes, the suppressor height design sits taller than standard irons specifically so you can see over most cans. Suppressor length and diameter vary, so it's a good idea to confirm your setup, but these are built for exactly this job.
