The Midwest Industries MIHDFS is one of those small parts that quietly earns its keep. It's a heavy-duty quick-detach sling swivel machined from steel and sized for 1.25-inch slings, with a recessed flush push button that sits even with the swivel body. That recessed design is the whole point here. Standard raised buttons can get bumped against gear, a bench, or a doorframe and pop your sling loose at the worst possible moment. The flush button takes a deliberate press to release, which cuts down on those surprise disconnects while still snapping in and out fast when you want it to.
Inside the swivel, spring-loaded ball detents lock into the walls of a QD cup and hold tight until you press the button to retract them. It's the same proven mechanism used across the QD world, just built tougher and finished in black manganese phosphate for corrosion resistance and a low-glare, non-reflective look. Steel construction means it holds up to the kind of yanking, dragging, and general abuse a working sling puts on an attachment point.
This swivel drops into any standard QD socket, whether that's a cup molded into a buttstock, an M-LOK QD mount, a Picatinny rail adapter, or an end plate with a QD port. As long as the hardware is a common QD interface, this piece will seat and lock. The 1.25-inch loop accepts standard 1 1/4-inch webbing, so it plays nice with most two-point and single-point slings on the market. Folks running Seekins, Magpul, and similar setups have had good luck getting it to click securely into their cups.

The loop is sized for 1.25-inch slings and accepts standard 1 1/4-inch webbing. That covers the majority of two-point and single-point slings out there. If your sling uses narrower webbing it may shift around more in the loop, but wider 1.25-inch webbing seats nicely.
