The Midwest Industries Low Combat Rail HD is a 13.5" free-float M-LOK handguard designed for large-frame .308 and LR-308 pattern rifles that see hard use. It runs a low DPMS profile with an outside diameter of 1.85" and inside diameter of 1.30", so it keeps things slim and comfortable in the hand while still clearing your gas block. The body is machined from 6061 aluminum with type 3 hard coat anodizing, and every edge comes fully dehorned and deburred, so it feels finished right out of the box instead of leaving sharp machining marks on your palms.

What Sets the Combat Rail HD Apart

The headline here is the mounting system. Instead of a standard barrel nut, this one uses a longer 4140 heat-treated barrel nut paired with MI's patented torque plate. That plate spreads clamping force evenly around the nut, which means no forward movement of the handguard and a lock-up that holds under recoil and repeated accessory swaps. Mounting Room on the Low Combat Rail HD
