The Meprolight Tru-Dot adjustable set is one of the few night sight options that pairs always-on tritium with a rear sight you can actually adjust. That combination makes it a natural upgrade for anyone running an HK USP who wants low-light visibility without giving up the ability to fine-tune point of impact. The three green dots stay identical in appearance day and night, so your eye picks up the same sight picture whether you're on the range at noon or checking a dark hallway at home.
Most night sights are drift-adjustable at best. This ML21516 set gives you a rear sight with true windage and elevation adjustments, letting you compensate for different bullet weights and distances when you zero. The front sight is fixed, and once you've got the rear where you want it, the all-steel detents hold that setting through heavy recoil and range abuse. Meprolight built these to shrug off solvents, weather, and the kind of rough use that duty guns see.
This set is made for the HK USP Full Size, Tactical, and Expert pistols across 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. They drop into the factory dovetails as replacements for the standard sights, though the fit tends to run tight. Plenty of owners install them at home with a vice, brass punch, and patience, but a proper sight pusher makes the job easier and safer for both the sights and your slide.
The tritium is self-contained, so there are no batteries, switches, or anything to remember before you head out. The glow makes the pistol easy to find in a dark safe and gives you a fast aiming reference when the lights drop. Meprolight backs the illumination with a 12-year usable warranty to the original purchaser, which speaks to how long these lamps stay bright.
This ML21516 set is designed for the HK USP Full Size, Tactical, and Expert models across 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. They replace the factory front and rear sights in the existing dovetails. The fit can run tight, so a sight pusher or a vice with a brass punch will make installation smoother.
No. The green glow comes from self-contained tritium, so there's nothing to charge, switch on, or replace. The dots stay lit day and night, which also makes the pistol easy to find in a dark safe.
The rear sight adjusts for both windage and elevation, so you can zero for different bullet weights and distances. The front sight is fixed. The all-steel detents lock your settings in place through recoil and hard use.
Meprolight covers these sights with a 12-year usable illumination warranty to the original purchaser. Tritium naturally dims over time, but you can expect strong low-light performance for well over a decade of normal use.
