The M-Pact is the glove that put Mechanix Wear on the map for tactical and hard-use crowds, and this MultiCam XL version brings the same proven layout in a pattern that blends into the field. The heart of it is D3O palm padding, a smart polymer that stays flexible until something hits it, then stiffens up to spread out the shock. Pair that with a 0.8mm synthetic leather palm and you get a glove that protects your hands without turning them into oven mitts.
Thermoplastic rubber armor covers the knuckles and rides down the fingers to guard against blunt impact and pinch points, and that same TPR handles the wrist closure so the glove locks in and stays put through rapid movement. The palm reinforcement holds up to abrasion when you're handling rough gear, tools, or barricades. Folks who run these at the range tend to point out the same thing: the fingers are thin enough that you feel the trigger fine and your trigger finger fits the guard without a fight, while the back of the hand still takes a beating for you.
Breathable TrekDry material forms to the back of your hand and helps move heat and moisture out, which matters when you're wearing these for hours in warm weather. The internal fingertip reinforcement adds durability in the spots that wear first, and the whole glove is built to fight off the hand fatigue that creeps in during extended tasks. Reviewers who've worn them in the rain and through full training classes note that they hold their fit and keep the hands protected without feeling bulky.
These run true to the Mechanix size chart, so an XL should fit like an XL, but if you're between sizes it's worth checking your measurements first. The touchscreen-capable palm and fingertips let you work a phone or tablet without stripping down, and when they get grimy you can toss them in the wash and air dry. Whether you're shooting, wrenching, or working outdoors, the M-Pact earns its keep.
Yes, they're a popular choice at the range. The 0.8mm synthetic leather palm keeps enough feel that your trigger finger fits the guard fine and you can run controls and mag changes without much trouble, while the TPR knuckle armor and D3O palm padding protect the back of your hand from impact.
They do. The palm and fingertips are touchscreen capable, so you can operate a phone or tablet without pulling a glove off. It's a handy feature when you need to check a range app or send a quick message mid-task.
They run true to the Mechanix size chart, so an XL should fit like an XL. If you're between sizes, measure your hand against the chart before ordering since a snug fit gives you the best dexterity and impact coverage.
D3O is a smart polymer used in the palm that stays soft and flexible during normal use, then firms up on impact to spread out and absorb the shock. It helps cut down vibration and hand fatigue during long sessions without making the glove feel stiff.
