It drops your Ruger American Short Action barreled action into a full-length CNC-machined 6061 aluminum skeleton wrapped in high-strength textured polymer panels, so you get the rigidity a chassis is known for while keeping the shape and shouldering of a traditional stock. Tipping the scales right around 3.9 pounds depending on the inlet, it stays light enough to carry up a ridge yet stable enough to settle in behind glass on a bench.
This is where the crossover design earns its keep. The precision aluminum V-block bedding cradles your action for repeatable fit and lets the barrel free float, which is often the single biggest accuracy gain over a factory stock. Up front, the generous 12-inch forend carries M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, giving you room to hang a bipod, add a sling stud, or bolt on an ARCA or Picatinny rail for a barricade setup. It also runs standard AICS pattern magazines through an integrated magwell with an ambidextrous latch, so no extra bottom metal to source.
Fit is the name of the game here. The quick-adjust cheek riser lets you match comb height to your scope so you drop into a consistent cheek weld every time, and length of pull adjusts with stacking spacers from 13.25 inches out past 15 inches. MDT also includes both a swept angled grip and a vertical pistol grip in the box, each swapping out with four screws, so you can set the ergonomics to your liking whether you shoot prone, off a bag, or off-hand in the field.
