The MDT Oryx Chassis takes a factory Howa 1500 or Weatherby Vanguard long action rifle and gives it the kind of foundation that serious precision shooters rely on. Instead of a traditional wood or synthetic stock that can shift or flex under recoil, this one-piece aluminum chassis locks your action into a rigid bedding block and lets the barrel float completely free. That combination alone tends to shrink group sizes, and it's a big part of why so many Howa owners make this their first upgrade. The OD Green finish also gives it a look that fits right in whether you're at a match or out in the field.
Every shooter sets up behind a rifle a little differently, and MDT built the Oryx around that idea. Length of pull adjusts right out of the box, with additional spacers available if you need more reach. The cheekpiece raises and lowers too, so getting a consistent, repeatable cheek weld with your scope takes minutes instead of guesswork. Up front, the chassis takes standard AR15-pattern grips, meaning you're not stuck with whatever ships in the box if you'd rather run something else.

This chassis is machined to fit both the Howa 1500 long action and the Weatherby Vanguard long action, since the two share very similar action dimensions. It's built for right-hand actions specifically, so double check your rifle's configuration before ordering. If your action is a short action instead of long, you'll need the short action version of the Oryx.
No, the chassis itself does not include a magazine. It's designed to accept AICS-pattern detachable box magazines sized for long action cartridges, so you'll want to pick one up separately if your rifle doesn't already use one. This does let you add detachable mag capability to a rifle that came from the factory with a fixed internal magazine.
