The MDT CRBN Precision Kit takes everything people love about a proper precision chassis and wraps it in a carbon fiber shell that barely tips the scale. Built for right-hand Remington 700 short actions, this is the Veil Avayde hydro-dipped version, a slick camo finish that helps break up your outline without giving up any of the performance underneath. The whole stock weighs in around 27 ounces, so you get chassis-level rigidity without hauling around chassis-level weight.
Instead of relying only on aluminum pillars, the CRBN uses a magnesium micro-chassis with V-block bedding. That gives the action a consistent, repeatable interface with the stock and skips the need for traditional bedding work. The entire shell is filled with rigid foam, which soaks up recoil and harmonic vibrations for that dead-in-the-hands feel that makes spotting your own trace a whole lot easier. The wide forend doesn't flex, so follow-up shots come faster and your bipod stays planted.
The full-length ARCA rail is molded right into the forend, so you can slide a bipod fore and aft or drop straight onto an ARCA tripod without bolting on extra hardware and adding weight. M-LOK slots on the handguard give you room for lights, weights, or other accessories. This Precision Kit version comes set up with precision bottom metal that includes an integrated barricade stop and an adjustable magazine latch for dialing in fitment, and it runs standard AICS-pattern magazines.
Ergonomics are where the CRBN really shines. You get adjustable length of pull via spacers, an adjustable comb height, a comfortable 20-degree grip angle, integrated thumb shelves, and front and rear QD sling cups. The barrel channel is generous enough to clear up to a Proof Sendero profile barrel at 1.2 inches. Whether it's a positional stage or a long hike into elk country, this thing was built to stay comfortable and consistent all day.
This chassis is cut for right-hand Remington 700 short action receivers. It also works with Rem 700 clone actions built to the same footprint, like many Zermatt, Defiance, and similar customs. Make sure your action is a short action and right-handed before ordering.
