Description

Geissele didn't just slap a new finish on a standard AR charging handle and call it MCX compatible. The MCX Super Charging Handle was designed from scratch specifically for the geometry of SIG's MCX platform, which means the fit, the leverage, and the gas control are all dialed in for that gun rather than adapted from something else.

What Makes the MCX Super Charging Handle Different

The body is 3D machined from a solid block of 7075-T6 aluminum, then finished with a Type III hardcoat anodized coating for a durable black finish that holds up to years of hard use. The levers are dual contoured, similar to what you'd see on an M14 charging handle, with radius cuts running both directions so your fingers find a natural grip point instead of a flat slab of metal. That handling surface is also checkered, which sounds minor until you're running the gun with gloves on in the cold and actually need something to grab onto.

Ambidextrous Design That Works From Either Side

Both latches operate independently, so left handed and right handed users get the same fast, positive charging stroke without having to reach across the receiver. It's a small thing that makes a real difference when you're working the gun quickly or shooting from an awkward position.

Keeping Gas Out of Your Face

One of the bigger complaints with short barreled and suppressed MCX builds is gas blowback straight into the shooter's eyes. Geissele addressed that directly with a heightened rear lip that acts as a gas mitigating fence, redirecting blowback away from your face instead of letting it vent backward. If you're running a shorter barrel or a can on your MCX, this feature alone is worth the upgrade.
