The Combat Carbine Pistol Brace uses a standard carbine buffer and spring, meaning you keep your existing internals and bolt carrier group and just slide this housing on in place of your old setup. It's a straightforward swap that gets you Maxim's build quality without reworking your whole pistol.
The housing and brace are machined from 7075 aluminum, the same tough alloy Maxim leans on across their stock lineup, so this thing carries a real sense of heft and finish when you pull it out of the box. It runs three positions of adjustment: 6.825 inches closed, 8.6875 inches at the first stop, and 10.5 inches fully extended, with the whole assembly coming in right around 19.8 ounces. Deployment is fast, just pull the brace and it extends, and the collapse lever is knurled so you can work it one-handed even with gloves on or wet hands.
The standout here is the extended cheek weld that stays continuous even at full extension, which makes getting a consistent, comfortable position a lot easier than most compact braces. Dual anti-rotational QD sling mounts sit on either side of the housing, so you can run a single or two-point sling from whichever side suits your build.
