The whole thing is CNC machined from steel bar stock in Fort Worth, Texas, so it's built to shrug off drops, recoil, and years of hard field use.
The rear sight is fully adjustable for both windage and elevation, and it ships with two apertures so you can tune your sight picture to the conditions. The smaller .191" opening gives you a tighter, more precise picture for bright light, while the .230" aperture pulls in more light for those dawn and dusk hours when game tends to move. The integral steel wings flank the rear body and protect the aperture from knocks in the truck, the brush, or the pack.
The one-piece white stripe front post replaces your existing blade and ramp. The white-on-black face is easy to catch with your eye and contrasts against just about any backdrop, whether you're looking at dark timber or a snowy hillside. This set fits Marlin 1895 rifles that use the existing front sight blade and ramp screwed onto the barrel, and it works on the newer Ruger-made Marlin 1895 rifles too. It does not fit models with the front blade dovetailed directly into the barrel.
